Highlights from Christmas

We had a fun Christmas Eve in Ohio and then surprised my parents showing up in Utah on Christmas Eve night and had a fun Christmas vacation with family in Utah! We each had our own favorite part...

Addi LOVED her first time roller skating at the Klein Family Party and cried when I took the skates off. We'll definitely have to make it back next year.

And she enjoyed riding the escalator up and down as many times as possible wherever she spotted one.

I loved being able to go up to the cabin and spend time with family playing games, eating food, reading books, and sleeping (there's just something about the cabin that makes you think you could take three naps a day and go to bed at 8:30 pm).

And visiting friends and Libbey's darling new baby!! You forget how tiny those newborns are...

Greg loved all the animals at Scheels (or maybe that was me who really just loved all the pictures we took there) but definitely his favorite part of the trip was snowmobiling! And he was so happy to find that Addi loved it too and just kept wanting to go for more rides.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas from Ohio!

I actually uploaded pictures from my phone and thought I might as well say hello on here since we definitely didn't get Christmas cards sent out this year! (But thanks to all of you who sent them to us! We sure love receiving them!)

We had a fun Christmas breakfast with some friends this year (and this is one of the very few pictures I have of all three of us lately...)

This is Addi's "visit with Santa", thanks to Greg for getting that in this season. She probably would have thrown a fit with the real one right?? Poor Addi.

Pretty much the weather out here...up until today when it FINALLY decided to snow! Crazy Ohio weather.

My two favorite people. Addi (18 months this week!) and Greg (future mountain man)

Had to add another family photo. Going out to eat at the local diner with some friends!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and enjoy time with your family and friends!

Wondering where we've been?

Well we've been busy...

You'll find Greg selling pest control this summer EVERY single day (okay we do see him on Sundays) from 9 am to 9 pm. At least he's loving it.

You'll find me working my 3 nights a week at the Children's Hospital and trying to catch up on sleep, laundry, housework, paying bills, and mostly spending quality time with my baby girl the other days of the week.

You'll find Addison scooting around on one leg all over the house, getting into toy boxes, cupboards, and closets, eating EVERYTHING she can in her high chair, sleeping all night long and two good naps, and learning how to talk to her daddy on the phone. She may be the busiest one of us all.

And that's what we're up to!

Miracles

We had a few miracles in February...

Miracle #1: Grandpa actually rocked Addi to sleep, which is an impossible feat

Miracle #2: Addison's hair thankfully didn't stay like this for long

Miracle #3: Mom was able to snap a picture with the "8 Months" paper before it was crumpled into a ball

Miracle #4: I was able to pull off wearing red pants (I think??)

Miracle #5: Greg didn't fall off the ledge at the top of Iron Mine Mtn while trying to push over a dead tree

Miracle #6: We actually got a picture taken with the three of us all in it!

What a great month :)

One successful flight, one to go

I am grateful for the empty seats on our flight to Utah so we could carry on the carseat and Addi could sleep.

I am grateful for a happy baby who likes people watching on planes and in airports.

I am grateful for two free checked bags and free drink refills with Southwest.

I am grateful for a short hour and a half flight when there were four of us on a three seat row, one being a baby ready for a nap and one being a mom with a headache, tired of flying all day.

Overall our trip out here to Utah went very well. Now wish me luck for tomorrow morning!

I'm one of those blogs...

I check my blog reader several times a week to see everybody's updates and I am so disappointed when certain people update their blogs so rarely. Today while going through this process I realized I was one of those people! Has it been over a month since I posted? Oops.

So for those of you who haven't given up on me and still will venture over to my blog (aka my mom), here's some pictures of what we've been up to lately!

We bundled up and went to "Wildlights" at the zoo

Addi turned 5 months old (and 6 months, and almost 7 months now but no pictures yet)

Addi and my "robot" Christmas present are the same size. Greg was trying to disguise my gifts.

Awesome family Christmas photo right? Yep that's 6:00 am

Greg and his Christmas present "Maizie" who is a darling puppy but is definitely a puppy and often drives me crazy. p.s. She is currently sitting on my lap. It's a love-hate relationship

Addison has mastered the art of sitting up and just in time to play with all her new Christmas toys!

She had a cute 6 month photo-shoot when Grandma came in town for a few days

And we had such a fun time when Kelsie came to visit. Not only did we have fun hanging out but she even made Oreo truffles and entertained the crazy puppy at the same time. She's a pro.

So those are a few random pictures and updates but overall life is good! I love being a mom, every single second of it, but I do have a very good, happy baby so that helps. Addison is growing up so fast and we are loving her funny little personality and her few hairs that are 3 inches long and stick straight up on her head. I love my job and although I'm not always excited to go to work I am grateful for it. And I love our house, where we live, and all the friends we've made. Lots to be thankful for!

Oh and Happy 2012! We're hoping for a less eventful but just as fun and exciting year!

It's Christmas Time

We've been busy around here!

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house for some friends and family and had such a fun time!

(Thanks for the picture Noelle. I stole it from your blog)

And this is how we fit in our little house

Preparing for Black Friday shopping (not really "crazy Black Friday shopping" but Greg did come home with a few things for me since I was working)

Don't worry, Addison isn't frequently naked like this...

Preparing for a  puppy in our house. Yep I'm pretty nervous but our neighbors' boxer had puppies and we'll be getting Maizie in a few weeks. She's pretty cute.

Getting ready for Christmas...we finally got the tree up today!

Watching mom and dad put up lights

And we have just been spending all our time holding, talking, and playing with this big girl! Addison is 5 months old now and making all sorts of noises, likes to smile and laugh at her parents and anyone who will look at her, puts everything in her mouth, and is still loosing her hair day by day.
